Meat Loaf with Mashed Potatoes & Gravy

Comfort food at it's best.  Lean hamburger is

combined with breadcrumbs, eggs, and some special

spices for a yummy treat.  No instants potatoes out

of a box in GG's kitchen - real potatoes are combined

with butter, milk and my secret ingredient for a

light and fluffy side dish.  A onion mushroom 

gravy tops off the combo.

Garlic, onions, fresh basil, tomatoes, ground beef, mushrooms and Italian spices simmer slowly for several hours before being placed on a bed a spaghetti noodles and then dusted with Parmesan cheese.

You can use a fork to eat this soup A wide

assortment of vegetables are added to a beef and tomato base.  Fresh vegetables are used as much as possible

Ground sirloin is browned and added for even 

more beef flavor.

                     BBQ Pork
Pork shoulder pieces are slow cooked with a little garlic and orange juice in a pressure cooker.
By the time they are done they are folk tender and falling apart.  That is when I add a smokey BBQ sauce that is not too sweet.  To add one more layer of flavor the large sesame seed buns are buttered and toasted.  The meat and bread are packaged separately so they can be heated individually in the microwave - no rock hard buns for this sandwich..
